The Telangana issue continued to rock Andhra Pradesh with a third year engineering student committing suicide for the cause of a separate state on Wednesday, police said.
The student— N Dinesh Chandra — was found hanging in his room this morning. This is the second suicide for a separate Telangana state in the past 48 hours.
In a suicide note allegedly written by him, which police found in his room, Dinesh has urged Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao to achieve the formation of a separate Telangana state without giving bandh calls, which were inconveniencing students like him.
The suicide note further stated, “I am committing suicide which is wrong and others should not do such a mistake," the police said.
Dinesh, hails from Achampet mandal of Mahabubnagar district. “We have booked a case and will investigate. We will send the letter to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for verification,” LB Nagar ACP J Amarendar Reddy said.
On Tuesday, another person— G Ramulu of Rajapet of Nalgonda district — had killed himself by jumping in front of a speeding bus near Bhongir town. He also left behind a letter, saying he was frustrated and disappointed by Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde breaking his promise of announcing a solution to Telangana by January 28.
Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Kodanda Ram alleged that three supporters of Telangana have committed suicide during last three days.
