‘Ess’ is cess: Gibberish in finance ministry posts has Twitter in splits
Both the tweets have been retweeted nearly 450 times.
For two hours on Friday, Twitter users were scratching their heads and trying to make sense of two tweets by the finance ministry which said exactly this: ‘Sawa we h we s see see’ and ‘Ess’.
The tweets were in response to a news organisation’s report on the apprehension of a person in Delhi for selling crackers secretly.
‘#NewsAlert -- One apprehended in Delhi for selling crackers to people secretly #CrackerFreeDiwali #NoiseFreeDiwali #Diwali,” read News18’s tweet.
The two tweets were made back-to-back at 3.08 pm and were retweeted nearly 450 times but have now been deleted.
The unintelligible words instantly caught Twitterati’s fancy, giving rise to jokes related to demonetisation and the country’s tax system.
