Ex-Cong MP slams Dhumal for lax job; pats Virbhadra's back

Former Congress MP and election in charge for the Hamirpur parliamentary seat Chander Kumar has accused former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal of misusing power during his regime.


“Overnight permission of land transfer, transfer of land and cutting of forests are some of the incidents where the former chief minister acted as a mute spectator,” said Kumar, adding that Dhumal had given a free hand to sand mining and liquor mafia during his regime.

Patting chief minister Virbhadra Singh's back, Kumar said after assuming power Virbhadra launched extensive investigation drives against the erring leaders, officers and officials who were at fault.
Chander further alleged that Dhumal made an attempt to divide Kangra district in the name of a central university.

Finding candidate for Hamirpur seat
The Bilaspur district Congress committee has passed a unanimous resolution in favour of the state Planning Development and 20-point programme chairman Ram Lal Thakur and submitted to party in charge of Hamirpur seat Chander Kumar.

To find out suitable party candidate for the Hamirpur parliamentary seat, the party high command has deputed election in charge for Hamirpur seat and former MP Chander Kumar too gather feedback from the party workers at Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur. Kumar said, “I interacted with the party workers at Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur and collected the feedback, which will be submitted to the party leadership.”
