Ex-servicemen status for retd paramilitary personnel: Shinde

Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Saturday said the Centre has decided to give the status of ex-servicemen to retired personnel of paramilitary forces.

Addressing 'Samriti Rally' organised on the occasion of 66th birth anniversary of former minister Surinder Singh at Tosham in the district, he said retired paramilitary forces' personnel will be given the status of ex-servicemen.

As a result, they will be entitled to benefits of retired defence personnel.

Shinde gave assurance that the demands of the state would be addressed.

He said both former chief minister Bansi Lal and former minister Surinder Singh had undertaken development of Bhiwani area and he had worked with both of them.
