Expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh, who was recently released on bail after being jailed for a sexist slur on BSP chief Mayawati, was spotted at a Raksha Bandhan event organised by the RSS in Lucknow on Wednesday.

The presence of Dayashankar at the RSS event gave credence to the buzz that the former UP BJP vice-president could be taken back into the party at some stage.

After Dayashankar’s lapse, his wife Swati had taken on the BSP leaders for their foul language against her and her daughter.

Meanwhile, the event organised at the Sangh campus in Nirala Nagar saw RSS veteran Anil Oak talking about social harmony.

“All of us are children of Bharat Mata. I don’t know where one started talking of untouchability and Dalits. The RSS believes in fostering unity,” he said.
