Members of the Hindu Yuva Vahini on Thursday protested against a student’s Facebook post condemning Indian soldiers deployed in Kashmir and sought police action against her.

HYV activists have submitted a memorandum in connection with a Facebook post in which adverse comments have been made against the Indian soldiers posted in Kashmir as well as for supporting terror activities on Israeli border, city superintendent of police Dinesh Tripathi said.

In the controversial post which has gone viral, Indian soldiers have been accused of snatching the rights of Kashmiri people among other things, the SP said, adding the account features a Pakistani flag in its profile picture.

Led by the city unit president Sanket Srivastava, HYV activists staged a dharna and submitted a memorandum demanding that a case be lodged against the college student.

The SP said that investigations were on in the matter.
