Doctors have removed a rolling pin from within a domestic servant found murdered in her room at an upscale Faridabad locality on Tuesday.

“The post-mortem report received on Wednesday says that a rolling pin has been extracted from within the 25-year-old’s body,” deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Devender Yadav said. The principal medical officer of the city’s BK Hospital, OP Mehta, has confirmed the findings.

Police sources identified Vijay Kumar, a friend of the victim’s husband, as the prime suspect in the murder. The police force had launched a manhunt for him. Kumar is said to have been involved in a rape case in the Mujesar area but was acquitted of all charges.

“We have intensified our search for main accused Kumar,” DCP Yadav said.

The murdered woman had been working as a domestic help at the house of a cable trader in Sector 15 for the past month.

She lived in a room outside the house along with her two-year-old daughter Khushi.

Her sister was also a domestic help in the city, while Jeetu, her husband, was employed as a cook by a local political leader. The police have also picked him up for questioning.

Jeetu’s friend Kumar had visited Renu a few days ago along with his apparent girlfriend, Babita.  On Tuesday, when the woman’s sister came visiting at house No. 991 in Sector 15, she found the 25-year-old’s limp body.
