Bowing to public fury against the brutal murder of a schoolgirl, the Faridabad administration finally sealed the guesthouse in which she was murdered on Monday evening.

"The guesthouse was being run illegally," Anita Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) said.

Faridabad police have intensified the hunt for Tony, the owner of Simran guesthouse, who has been absconding since the incident. They have now put his mobile phone on surveillance to track his location. The police have now zeroed-in on his wife, Geeta Bhasin, who has been traced to her parents' house in Delhi.

"She had been hospitalised on Saturday. Geeta is a teacher in DAV School, Sector 14 and is now constantly under police watch," police sources said

The 18-year-old girl had left her Gandhi Colony home for tuition but did not return till late evening on Thursday. She was later found murdered at Simran guesthouse.
