First possible dengue case detected in Noushera tehsil

A first ever possible dengue case was detected in Noushera tehsil on Monday. The patient Arun Kumar after admission in the sub district hospital at Noushera was referred to Jammu by the doctors for further investigation and tests.


Though the health authorities have not officially admitted but the family members of Naresh Kumar resident of Chowki Handan said Arun is persuing Pharmacist training in an institute at New Delhi.

On Sunday after a complaint of fever, Arun was admitted in sub district hospital at Noushera.

"As soon as we were informed by our employee about the treatment of Arun (for possible dengue fever) he was referred to GMC hospital at Jammu for IGM antibody test for the confirmation of dengue" said Dr Raghubir Singh, BMO, Noushera.

He also informed that for precautionary measures they have collected blood samples of about 40 people from Chowki Handan village close to Arun and his relatives. All the samples would be sent to Jammu for furthers test and if anybody found positive would be sent to Jammu for treatment.

Police to conduct polygraphic test on DIG Paraskar

The Mumbai crime branch has sent a letter to deputy inspector general Sunil Paraskar in a bid to seek his permission to conduct a polygraphic and lie detector tests on him. While the police are awaiting a response from Paraskar, the officials said that they would soon approach the court to seek its permission.
