Five dead as truck rolls down gorge

Five devotees were killed and over 40 were injured when the truck they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a 20-feet deep gorge near Nehrian village in Amb subdivision, 45 km from here, on Friday.


The truck, bearing registration number PB 03 B 9195, was on the way to Tarn Taran in Punjab from Dera Baba Barbagh Singh shrine in Mairi village of the district. The truck was overcrowded and carrying around 70 to 80 people.
