Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ramrao Adik passed away, at a city hospital in Mumbai on Thursday, following a brief illness. He was 78.
He is survived by wife, a daughter and two sons. Adik was admitted to Lilawati hospital in sub-urban Bandra last week following pneumonia.
Adik was deputy CM of Maharashtra during 1983-85 in the Vasantadada Patil-led government.
His body has been taken to his residence and the cremation is scheduled at the Shivaji park crematorium later in the day, family sources said.
