Former President APJ Abdul Kalam (82) was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital with a minor head injury on Friday evening, after he fell down at his Rajaji Marg residence.
“He is stable and has been kept in the ICU for observation and will be shifted to the ward tomorrow. He has a minor injury on his head. No stitches were required and it wasn’t a serious injury. His blood pressure, ECG and other vital parameters are normal,” said a senior doctor at the hospital.
Doctors have advised complete bed rest and said the former president would be discharged in a couple of days.
