Four boys, a woman injured in bomb explosion in Howrah

Four boys and a woman were injured in Howrah as a bomb hidden in a bush exploded when the boys went there in search of their ball on Sunday, the police said.

The boys, in the age group of 8-12 years, were playing near a garbage dump at Belgachhia locality of Howrah when their ball went into a bush.

Going close to the bush in search of the ball, the boys found an object wrapped in threads, the sources said.

When they tried to inspect the object, it exploded injuring all the boys and a woman who was passing by the spot.

The five were admitted to hospital.
