A fresh spell of snow has blanketed tourist hotspot Shimla in white.
This falling of snow, however, has affected the daily routine of the common man and their business operations.
On Wednesday, roads , trees and mountains were covered in snow, providing a visual treat to tourists.
Most roads and markets wore a deserted look. Locals were wrapped up in woollens as they tried to beat the chill.
Prakash Sharma, a local newspaper hawker, found it difficult to deliver newspapers in the snow .
"It has become difficult to climb uphill, difficult to carry goods and the shops are also closed right now. The traffic is also not there. We are somehow managing," he said.
The tourists were seen enjoying themselves in the snow.
The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh have seen heavy snowfall recently, with some districts receiving upto 90 centimetres of snow.
However, snowfall in these regions has had a direct impact on mercury levels in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
