An unruly scene was on Thursday witnessed in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly when the Leader of Opposition Mehbooba Mufti tried to intervene in the proceedings prompting the Speaker to order 'Contempt of House' against her which was withdrawn later.
PDP leader Mufti repeatedly intervened during Rural and Panchayat Development Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar's reply on Armed Forces Special Powers Act.
She also accused the Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone of patronising the ruling National Conference Party.
Later on, the PDP leader along with other members staged a walk out from the Assembly which prompted Lone to issue an order to initiate 'Contempt of House' against Mehbooba Mufti.
However, the speaker withdrew the Contempt proceedings on the request of a senior Jammu and Kashmir National Panther's Party MLA Harsh Dev Singh.
Earlier this month, Mehbooba Mufti had wrenched the Speaker's mike and tried to throw it away over the Shopian rape and murder case. She was led out of the House immediately after the incident.
