The teacher, employed with a private school, was returning home after meeting some people on Saturday night, when three men accosted her and dragged her to an abandoned house.

She has alleged that one of them raped her, while another filmed it with his mobile phone and the third member guarded the entrance to the house.

The woman also alleged that the accused warned her against speaking about the incident to anyone.

"The rape victim, after informing her family, filed an FIR against all the three accused," SHO Charthawal BN Parashar told HT.

He said all the three accused have been arrested and a case under Sections 376 and 534 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered .

The teacher was sent for medical examination, police said.

Two weeks ago, in a similar incident, a 20-year-old woman was gang-raped by eight men in Muzaffarnagar and the video circulated on WhatsApp.

National Crime Records Bureau data paints a shocking picture, there were 32,546 incidents of crime against women in Uttar Pradesh last year and 3,050 rape cases were registered, one of the highest in the country.
