With a view to fully equip the panchayat ghars in gram panchayats where adequate accommodation or facilities are not available, the state government has decided to set up Rajeev Service centres.
This was stated by chief parliamentary secretary Inder Dutt Lakhanpal while addressing a public meeting at Kanoh village here on Sunday.
He said adequate funds would be given to gram panchayats for setting up Rajeev Service centres, adding that gau sadans would also be set up in each gram panchayat of the state.Lakhanpal said the state government was developing the state on equal and balanced basis, which was the aim of the Congress.
He called upon people to join hands with the Congress for their welfare as the Congress was the only party that was pro-people.
The CPS announced that the road link between Kanoh and Jaureamb would be created and a DPR for this purpose would be finalised shortly. He announced a sum of Rs 5 lakh for the development of the Kanoh gram panchayat from his own funds.
