NHM Employees’ Association president Surinder Gautam told HT that a delegation led by him met Vij, who gave them an assurance to consider their demands.
Employees of the National Health Mission (NHM) in Haryana, who have been on a strike for the past ten days, decided to resume work from Sunday after a meeting with health minister Anil Vij at his residence in Ambala late Saturday night.
NHM Employees’ Association president Surinder Gautam told HT that a delegation led by him met Vij, who gave them an assurance to consider their demands.
Gautam said Vij assured the delegation that their demands pertaining to regularisation and equal pay for equal work would be considered by a panel within a fortnight and all terminated NHM employees would be reinstated.
“In view if the minister’s assurance, we have decided to withdraw our strike and join duty from Sunday onwards,” he added.
