Govt extends property tax rebate deadline till Dec 10.

 The Haryana government has extended the period to avail of one-time rebate on property tax dues till December 10, 2013, and amended its notification in the context.


An official spokesperson said in a release on Monday that one-time rebate of 30% would be allowed for those property owners who would clear all their property tax dues up to the year 2012-13 by December 10, 2013.

Likewise, rebate of 10% would be admissible to those assesses who pay their total tax for the assessment year 2013-14 by July 31.
He said as per the notification issued on October 11, 2013, the rebate was to be given to those property owners who would clear all their property tax dues up to the year 2012-13 and assessment year 2013-14 within 45 days and 30 days respectively of the date of publication of the notification.

He said various residents' welfare associations had also given their representation to extend the time period of depositing property tax dues with rebate. Keeping in view the interest of people, the state government had decided to extend the period for one-time rebate on payment of property tax dues, which was earlier valid up to November 25, 2013.
