She stated this after attending an exhibition put up by students under the Class Readiness Programme (CRP) at government senior secondary school, Prangan, in Jhajjar district on Thursday.

The CRP is based on the concept of activity-based learning to enhance the quality of education and to boost creativity among students in government schools. The parents of children studying in government schools are told about the activities to be carried out throughout the academic year.

Meanwhile, Bhukkal also distributed bicycles to students under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

Bhukkal said the state government was making concerted efforts to not only provide quality education to students, but also make good citizens out of them by making them realise their responsibilities in each and every field.

In this direction, CRPs are being implemented in all government schools of the state to make the students realise their social roles and the schools doing commendable works are being honoured under the Mukhya Mantri Siksha Diksha Yojana.

She said quality education was being provided to the students in government schools along with various facilities, including better infrastructure.

Bicycles are being provided by the state government to the students who have to cover a distance of above 2 km to reach the school. Also, free of cost study material is being provided to the poor students, she added.
