The newly-elected parliamentarian from Karnal Ashwini Kumar Chopra Minna has blamed the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) leadership for causing a rift in the political alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). After holding a public grievances meeting here on Friday, Minna told reporters that while the BJP was still reviewing the possibilities to keep the tie-up intact, the HJC leaders were making irresponsible statements against its alliance partner.

He said that while a section of the BJP was against continuing alliance with the HJC, several leaders were for it.

"There is no denial that following BJP's impressive performance, the political situation has changed but our party's stance on HJC has not changed as yet.

But the HJC leadership (read Kuldeep Bishnoi) has started personal attacks on the BJP leaders, which may further spoil the equation," said Minna.
He said that Bishnoi's party was wrongly blaming BJP for belittling the HJC.
