Former Haryana home minister Gopal Goyal Kanda is all set to raise the political temperature on May 2, the day he launches his political outfit — Haryana Lokhit Party — from his defunct MDLR airline office on Jhadsa road in Gurgaon, nearly a fortnight before the crucial Lok Sabha poll results.

Unlike the regular practice of launching a political outfit with a rally, Kanda, the lone independent MLA from Sirsa district, is slated to give a start in corporate style to its party.

Besides his family members, the primary members of party would be present at the launch.

Getting vocal against chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for the first time after he was tried in ex-airhostess Geetika Sharma suicide case, Kanda in a press conference at Gohana of Sonepat district on Tuesday said that Congress chief minister met the public like a businessman met his franchise holders. He visited Gohana to meet a former Congressman Umesh Sharma.

Sources said that Kanda may take his support back from the Congress government before or on May 2, the day he would announce his own political party.

Meanwhile, supporters of Kanda in Sirsa were preparing to replace a signboard containing CM Hooda and Kanda’s photo at latter’s camp office. The signboard was installed in November 2009.
