Ranbir Hooda's name enters in Limca Book of Records

The Limca Book of Records has included the name of late Chaudhary Ranbir Singh, father of Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, for his national record of having remained a member of seven different Houses.

A Haryana Congress release said the certificate issued by the Limca book of records read: "Late Ranbir Singh Hooda (Nov 26, 1914 to Feb 1, 2009) of Rohtak, Haryana holds the distinction of being the only person to have served as a member of seven different legislative houses.

A freedom fighter and Congress leader, Hooda was a member of First Constituent Assembly, Constituent Legislative Assembly, Provisional Parliament, Punjab State Assembly, Haryana State Assembly, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

28 police officers shifted

Haryana government has shifted 28 police officers with immediate effect. An official release said that Vijay Singh, deputy superintendent of police (DSP), HQ, Sirsa, was posted as DSP, city, Fatehabad, against a vacant post. Rajbir Singh, DSP, HQ, Panipat (designate ACP, city Gurgaon) went as DSP, Assandh, in place of Sham Lal, who was posted as DSP, Saffidon, in place of Ramesh Chand, who went as DSP, CID.
