The icy winds swept across the region forcing the people to stay indoors and wear light woolens. Mercury dropped considerably following the rain, while vehicles were forced to move with headlights on for a while as visibility dipped.

Meanwhile, moderate snowfall has been reported in higher reaches of Chamba district. Continuous since a week have also spoiled the Navratri celebrations in the area.
