Three killed, three injured in Una mishaps

Three people, including a woman and her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, were killed on Monday in a road accident at Kuthiari village. The victims have been identified as Simple and Anahita, who were in a car being driven by the child's father, Arvind Kumar, of Balgran village in Kangra district.

Arvind and his son Arun suffered grievous injuries. According to police, the family was going from Kangra to Baddi when their car hit a roadside tree. In another incident, Diara residents Dharamvir and Bajrangi, who were on a scooter, were hit by an unidentified vehicle late Sunday night. Dharamvir was referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, succumbed to his injuries.

Superintendent of police Anupam Sharma said post mortem of all three had been conducted at the Una district hospital and bodies had been handed over to their families. A case has been registered and investigations are on.
