Husband chops off wife's fingers in Manipur

A husband chopped off three fingers of his wife when he attacked her with a sword in interior Thoubal district of Manipur, official reports said on Friday.

The wife, 47-year old Thoibi Devi was rushed to a private clinic where she was undergoing treatment.

The husband, Tolen Khomba, was absconding after the incident that took place on Thursday.

Investigation was on to find out the motive.
