The results of Joint Entrance Examination(JEE advanced) for admission to 16 Indian Institutes of Technology(IITs )and Indian School of Mines(ISM), Dhanbad will be announced on June 19 around 9am.

Nearly 1.19 lakh students including around 23,000 girls had appeared for the exam on May 25.
Like the previous years, the number of girls taking the IIT exam is low.
In a bid to bring more transparency and acting on a directive of the Delhi high court, the IITs had for the first time, invited queries from candidates and stakeholders regarding answer keys before evaluating the Optical Response Sheets (ORS). Nearly 1700 queries were received.
The online filling of choices for various courses will begin from June 20. The first round of seat allocation will be announced on July 1. The second and third round of seat allocations will be declared on July 7 and July 12.
This year the number of seats is 9,784 as against 9,867 last year. Some courses have been dropped while at the same time new courses have been added in some IITs.
