A group of senior students of a private engineering college allegedly injured two of their juniors with sharp edeged weapons outside the campus in the Kanadia area, the police said.
The injured mechanicial engineering students of Sanghvi College, were rushed to MY Hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger, Kanadia police station in-charge RP Singh said.
Suresh, Prakash Chouhan, Prakash Kumawat and Neelu who have been accused of the crime, fled the scene after the incident in the afternoon, he said.
Though the victim blamed their seniors of ragging, the police registered a case of normal attack and beating, he said, adding that the college administration denied that ragging occurred outside the campus.
In their complaint, the victims alleged that seniors tried to rag them inside the campus and when they were denied, they were called outside the campus where the incident occurred, the police said.
