The next assembly elections in Haryana would seal the fate of the Congress, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Abhey Chautala has said.
"The Congress is fearful of the INLD's increasing popularity. It has hatched a conspiracy to keep Om Prakash Chautala's party away from power but the ruling party's sinister plan backfire in the assembly elections," Abhey said while addressing a rally here on Sunday.
The rally was part of the second phase of INLD's 'janjagran abhiyaan' (awareness campaign) against the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government. The campaign was kicked off from Dabwali in Sirsa district on Friday. He will tour assembly constituencies daily.
State party president Ashok Arora, Rajya Sabha member Ranbir Singh Gangwa, party legislator Saroj Mor and district party chief Umed Lohan addressed workers and asked them to start preparations for elections that could be announced soon.
"People's problems have increased but Congress leaders are busy looting the state exchequer. The Congress has created a new record of scandals and scams." Abhey alleged.
