The driver of the truck that killed a woman and her daughter in Jaipur on Sunday was nabbed near Dewas by Rajasthan Police late Tuesday evening.

CCTV footages showed that the woman's husband and his four-year-old son pleaded for help for almost 40 minutes. However, no one stopped to help them, police said.

The accident victims were attended to only when a staffer of a toll booth noticed the crying husband and his son inside the tunnel on a CCTV monitor.

According to police, the truck was on its way to Indore when it was intercepted by a team of Rajasthan Police. The truck which belongs to one ATC Company Container Service was seized and the driver was arrested.

During an FSL examination conducted by Dewas Police it was found that the driver had replaced tyres with new ones in a bid to obliterate the evidence of accident.

The driver was taken to Rajasthan.
