Union minister and Congress candidate Jitendra Singh, along with his wife Ambika Singh, cast vote here on Thursday. BJP candidate Mahant Chandnath cast his vote at a booth falling under the Neemrana sub-tehsil.

Singh with his wife reached the polling booth number 173, set up in Kendriya Vidyalaya number 1 here, around 8.05am and cast their votes around 8.15am.

Later, Singh alleged that the district administration is not taking action against those violating the Election Commission norms. "BJP candidate is using his photo on banners, which is against law. They can only use symbol," he said. He said he would gain more votes against Chandnath, who, he said, is an outsider from Haryana.

Chandnath cast his vote at booth number 23 in Silarpur village at 10.30 am, said BJP spokesperson Manoj Sharma.
