Jaipur woman alleges rape,abortion on marriage pretext

A 24-year-old woman has accused a person of raping and forcing her to abort on the pretext of marriage. The complainant, resident of Bapu Nagar, had approached a court for justice.


Acting upon the court’s orders, the Gandhi Nagar police have filed a case and started investigation.

According to the police, the complainant has alleged that she came in contact with the accused, identified as Ravindra Kumar, who promised to marry her. They developed physical relations and the complainant got pregnant twice.

But the accused got her aborted. She said the accused had promised to marry her but whenever she asked for marriage he used to dilly-dally. But one day he altogether refused to marry. The police have filed a rape case and started investigation in the matter.

Meanwhile, Kho Nagoriyan police have held a brother-sister duo on charges of blackmailing a person by threatening him with rape case. The accused (names withheld) had demanded Rs. 20 lakh from a person and threatened him to face a rape case. The police arrested the duo from Sodala area on Friday.

The police said the accused have been found blackmailing some other persons in the past also.
