A Pawan Hans helicopter, carrying six passengers, made an emergency landing at Katra in Jammu and Kashmir today following a technical fault, Pawan Hans sources in New Delhi said on Sunday.

There were six passengers and one pilot onboard. No one suffered major injuries, they said.

A Pawan Hans official said the pilot detected the technical fault in the engine and made a "precautionary landing" at Katra.

Katra is a small town situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains where the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi is located.
