Jats to relaunch stir from March 5

The All-India Jat Aarakshan Samiti has decided to start an agitation on the reservation issue from Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on March 5.

The decision was taken at a meeting in Hansi and presided over by Dharam Pal Chhot. "The Haryana government has deceived the community," Chhot said, adding that the community demanded an increase in the other backward class (OBC) reservation from 27% to 37%.

Jats of 12 states will hold a demonstration in New Delhi and then move to their villages to intensify the stir from March 6.
