Jayalalithaa is alive: Twitter discusses CM’s health after docs flown from Delhi

On Thursday, the Tamil Nadu government rushed a three-member team of specialists from Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences – a cardiologist, a pulmonary specialist and an anaesthesiologist – to Apollo, triggering more speculation that CM Jayalalithaa suffered a multi-organ failure.

The lack of information has fuelled a storm of rumours on social media, despite the government and Apollo hospital – where she is undergoing treatment – repeatedly saying she is recovering and will be back at work soon.

But Twitter was at least convinced that the AIADMK chief was alive.
