Kejriwal wins Time 100 readers' poll, Modi second, Rahul 40th

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal has won the TIME magazine's readers’ poll of 100 most influential people in the world with the highest percentage of 'yes' votes. BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi came second and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi ended up on 40th position.
"Indian politician Arvind Kejriwal wins #TIME readers' poll" tweeted at 12.10 pm IST on Thursday.
More than 3.2 million votes were cast from across the globe.
Although western celebrities such as Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Laverne Cox dominated the list, the poll turned out to be a fierce contest between Kejriwal and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
As per the poll results, Kejriwal polled a total of 2,61,114 'yes' votes. Modi bagged 1,64,572 approving votes.
