Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday to denounce demonetisation.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said a rally will be held at Benia Bagh to explain the real reasons behind the November 8 decision to scrap the 1,000 and 500-rupee notes.
Kejriwal took on Modi in Varanasi during the Lok Sabha election but lost the battle.
The Aam Aadmi Party is not contesting the Uttar Pradesh polls to be held early next year, but is holding six rallies to campaign against the BJP and the Narendra Modi government’s demonetisation decision.
Kejriwal addressed a rally against the note ban in UP’s Meerut on December 1 and will be addressing similar rallies in the state capital Lucknow on Dec 14, in MP’s Bhopal on Dec 20, Jharkhand’s Ranchi on Dec 22 and in Rajasthan’s Jaipur on Dec 23.
