The night running of passenger trains in Maoist-hit Kharagpur-Rourkela and Kharagpur-Adra routes in West Midnapore district will continue to remain suspended till June 3, officials said on Wednesday. The suspension was announced on May 28 after the Jhaneswari Express
disaster.

Passenger trains in the sections would not run at night till 5:00 am in the morning till June 3. A few trains running on the routes have been cancelled, some rescheduled and some re-routed, South Eastern Railway officials said.

Howrah-Adra-Chakradharpur, Howrah-Adra-Bokaro and Kharagpur-Tata passenger trains have been suspended, they said.
