Lalu demands high-level probe

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of ruling BJP MLA from Purnia, Raj Kishore Keshari and called for a thorough inquiry.

"I strongly condemn the incident... police should undertake a thorough probe," Prasad said. He said even the complaint of the woman Rupan Pathak who stabbed the MLA to the death be inquired into.

Prasad suggested that the state government should take immediate steps for ensuring proper security of MLAs and some distance be maintained in course of visitors meeting public representatives.

"Killing of MLA is a shame and it tarnishes the image of a state... it will be better if proper steps are take to
prevent it," the RJD leader said.
