The hardline Left party CPI (ML-Red Star) on Wednesday castigated both the CPI and CPI(M) for their dalliance with neo-liberal policies and slammed the Maoists of being "anarchists".

In a hard-hitting press conference, the general secretary of the CPI (ML-Red Star) Kuriara Narayan Ramchandran also accused the CPI and CPI(M) of treading the same path followed by the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government.

"The genuine Left task was abandoned by the old stream of socialists who mostly went over to BJP side and CPI(M)-led Left Front parties who have proved their loyalty to the neo-liberal policies during their 34 years of rule in West Bengal," Ramchanadran said.

On the other hand, the CPI (Maoist) has proved that they are nothing but anarchists who are alienating the masses from the communist path. "Both these sections are working like two sides of the same coin, ultimately serving the rotten ruling system," he added.

He said that the CPI and CPI(M) have been exposed as, instead of siding with the people fighting for the last 7 years against Posco in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha, they are supporting chief minister Navin Patnaik over the issue, he said.

Ramchandran also accused the Congress of fomenting communalism and was instrumental in rise of the BJP by opening Ram Janmabhumi-Babri Mosque controversy.

He said it was becoming clear day by day that people are angry and they want a revolutionary alternative to the ruling class alternatives.

Keeping this in view the party along with with New Socialist Movement, Gujarat, Marxist-Leninist of Andhra Pradesh, Nav Janwadi Lok Manch, Jamshedpur and New Democratic Party of India has formed a five-party Democratic People'’s Forum and working in 20 states of the country to offer an alternative to ruling alternatives, he said.

Ramchandran said, "The party is active in East Singhbhum, Ranchi, Khunti and Gumla in Jharkhand and recently CPI (Marx-Engels) organisation has merged with CPI (ML-Red Star) and a 15-member Jharkhand state committee has been formed with B Ashistha Tiwari as state secretary."

He said the party was going to launch an uncompromising struggle, joining hands with the forces who reject neo-liberal policies, against MNCs, corporate and the mafias who are looting wealth and land, impoverishing people at all fields.
