Life for north Indians settled in Maharashtra is not easy.
Addressing a press conference at the UP Press Club on Sunday social activist Satendra Yadav said though north Indians constitute a large percentage of the state’s work force and contribute for its growth, they are not treated well in Mumbai and its adjoining areas.
Yadav has launched a campaign for protection of the rights of north Indians settled in Maharashtra.
He said, “I have written to Amitabh Bachhan ji to extend support to the campaign because he hails from north India and thus must stand for the rights of the men who belong to his native state.”
Beginning from Lucknow, the campaign would be taken to various other parts of northern India to seek people’s support demanding their support for the cause.
Yadav has also urged chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to support him in his campaign and do something for the rights of the citizens of UP settled and working in Maharashtra.
