A teenager, who was abducted by a dacoit gang almost 1-1/2 months ago, has finally been released.

Giriraj Katare (19), who was abducted from Rudhavali in Morena district, has apparently been released after the ransom was paid.

Sources said the bandits took Rs. 12 lakh for his release though neither his kin nor officials are speaking over the circumstances that led to his return to his home.

Katare's kin were initially asked to pay Rs. 25 lakh. The police had failed to catch the dacoits and the youth was in bandits' custody since then. Dacoit Dhara Singh Sikarwar is suspected to be involved in this abduction.
