According to the police, Ravi Singh, along with his two accomplices, killed his friend Amit Singh as he could not repay Rs. 45,000 he had borrowed. Ravi and his associate Lal Singh were arrested, while the third accused in the case is still at large, the police said.

Amit, 29, was a resident of New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and used to run an electronic shop at Kondli. Ravi is also a resident of New Ashok Nagar, the police said.

“Amit’s brother Harbeer Singh had lodged a complaint against Ravi in the case. We detained Ravi and, during interrogation, he admitted to having killed Amit as he failed to repay a loan of Rs. 45,000,” said Shyamakant Tripathi, station house officer, Sector 39 police station.

“Ravi and Amit had invested in a property. The property was disputed. Ravi and Amit had differences on money invested. Ravi, with the help of his two accomplices Lal Singh and Kamal, planned to kill him. They called Amit and took him in a Tata Sumo car and strangulated him to death. They also took away Rs. 50,000 from him and threw his body from the moving car,” the officer said.
