Medical student abused, beaten unconscious in case of road rage in Gurugram
According to the police, the incident took place on Saturday around 7.55pm. The victim, Noorul ,who is a medical student, had come to Ardee city to buy milk, the police said.
A 31-year-old man was allegedly abused and assaulted by a group of men following a road rage incident on Saturday evening near gate number four of Ardee city in Sector 52, Gurugram. The police said that there are at least seven suspects involved in the case.
According to the police, the incident took place on Saturday around 7.55pm. The victim, Noorul ,who is a medical student, had come to Ardee city to buy milk, the police said.
Pradeep Hooda, investigating officer (IO), Sector 53 police station, said that the alleged altercation took place when Noorul and one of the suspects had a heated argument while Noorul was reversing his car.
“As soon as I turned my car around to leave the place, a white Fortuner which was coming from the wrong side pulled over. The driver got off the car and started to abuse me. When I asked him to not abuse, he called his friends and asked them to come to the spot. Meanwhile, I used my phone to call the police for help. When I saw around eight-nine men coming towards me, I started to run but they got hold of me and kept beating me till I fainted. They thought that I was dead and fled,” Noorul stated in his police complaint. He added that he has sustained injuries on his head, legs, arms, nose, eyes, chest and back.
Sector 53 station house officer Deepak Kumar said, “The suspects are yet to be arrested. The police are investigating the case.”
A case was registered against unidentified suspects under sections 147 (rioting), 149 (common object), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at the Sector 53 police station on Sunday.
