Mining: police quiz Alagiri son

Durai Dayanidhi - son of union chemicals and fertilisers minister MK Alagiri - was on Thursday interrogated by the Tamil Nadu Police in Madurai for his alleged role in the multi-crore illegal granite mining scam.

A prime accused in the case, he was on the run for the past few months.

Dayanidhi is a partner in the firm, Olympus Granites, and was among nine quarry owners facing charges of encroachment on public as well as private lands and illegal mining.
