A shocking case of a minor getting pregnant after being gang-raped by five youths in Haryana has come to light.

The 14-year-old minor’s family on Monday lodged a complaint with the Palwal police, saying she was raped by five men in April this year after which she became pregnant. A medical examination on the five-month pregnant girl confirmed rape.

The police have lodged a case and launched a manhunt to arrest the five youths.

The family claimed that they came to know about the incident a few days ago when the girl complained of stomach pain and they rushed her to a doctor who told them that she was five months pregnant.

On being questioned, the minor broke down and narrated the incident. The victim, the police said, told her parents that she had ventured out of her house on April 24 when the five youths lured her to a house and raped her one by one.

The girl was scared and so did not inform her parents then, the police said.

“After they came to know about her pregnancy, we were informed and an FIR in this case was lodged on Monday evening,” SHO Hassanpur police station M Lal said.

He said the minor’s statement was being recorded before a magistrate.

The police said the accused are local residents and have been identified as Bhagtu, Tokan, Jeetu, Pawan and Prehlad of Parsa Nangla area of Hassanpur.
