Union minister for new and renewable energy Farooq Abdullah said on Wednesday people would not accept Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi as a prime ministerial candidate of the BJP-led NDA.
“Modi is merely a bubble. Only the media is creating a hype about him, otherwise he has no impact on national politics,” Abdullah told HT.
He was here to inaugurate a solar power plant.
Abdullah said the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) would form the government at the Centre for the third consecutive time next year. “The UPA-3 is coming to power definitely,” Abdullah said, adding that his party, the National Conference, would be part of the UPA for the general elections.
