Modi wins Maninagar by over 75,000 votes

Caretaker Chief Minister Narendra Modi (BJP) on Sunday won Maninagar assembly seat, defeating his Congress rival Yatin Oza by a margin of 75,331 votes in the Gujarat Assembly poll.

Modi polled 1,13,587 votes, while Oza got 38,256 votes.

Modi had shifted to Maninagar from Rajkot-2, where he had won in a by-election last year by 14,000 votes.
