Mohanlalganj: Suspend all cops for discourtesy to victim's body, says Akhilesh

Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has asked the director general of police, AL Banerjee, to suspend all the cops present at the crime scene for not covering the body of the 35-year-old woman who was sexually assaulted and murdered in Mohanlalganj tehsil of the state capital.

He has also asked for penal action under IPC/IT Act against those police officer responsible for circulating the disturbing pictures of the woman's body.

Akhilesh rapped the police personnel for their lack of courtesy to cover the victim's body.

The police team that had reached the crime spot on Thursday morning did not cover the victim's body that lay in a pool of blood till hours after the discovery. Not only this, pictures they allegedly took on the spot were leaked out and went viral on social networking sites the same day.
