Sreesanth wanted half of Rs. 40-lakh in advance

Fast bowler S Sreesanth, who was arrested on Wednesday night in Mumbai charges of spot-fixing, had demanded 50% advance of the Rs. 40-lakh payment from the mediator. According to a transcript accessed by Hindustan Times, Sreesanth’s close friend Jiju Janardanan, who negotiated with bookie Chandresh Patel on the pacer’s behalf, was emphatic that Sreesanth would not take the risk of giving away runs unless he got 50% of the amount before the match.

Cannes Festival rocked as Chopard jewels are stolen

Jewellery worth $1.4 million due to be loaned to stars at the Cannes Film Festival was stolen from a local hotel in a pre-dawn heist on Friday but the coveted Palme d'Or trophy was safe, officials said.
The robbery took place in the hotel room of an American woman employee of Swiss bijoutier Chopard as she was out for the evening, police said.

But to make the double role the focal point of a film in an age of 3D, which is as familiar with it as it is with a tub of popcorn, requires either a reversal of clichés or a mind-blowing story. Unfortunately, Aurangzeb provides neither.
